Ozzy Osbourne led a Dodger Stadium crowd of more than 52,000 to a new Guinness World Record on Friday night (June 11) during a break in a game between the Dodgers and the Angels. Ozzy got the crowd to emit the longest and loudest scream ever by an audience, with the record verified by the Guinness Book Of Records. The event took place in support of Thinkcure!, a charity that encourages collaborative research in curing cancer. Footage of the scream can be seen at MLB.com.
"Scream" — OZZY OSBOURNE's first album in almost three years and 10th studio album overall — will be released on June 22 in North America via Epic Records. It will be issued in Japan on June 23 with the exclusive bonus track "Jump The Moon". A special iTunes pre-order is available which includes the bonus track, "One More Time". Once the album is released, the song will be unavailable.
"Scream" was produced by Ozzy and Kevin Churko, both of whom did the same honors for Ozzy's 2007 worldwide million-seller "Black Rain".
Ozzy will embark on an 18-month world tour in support of "Scream", which will include six Ozzfest dates in August.
OZZY OSBOURNE will guest on the nationally syndicated radio show "Rockline" with host Bob Coburn on Monday, June 21 at 8:30 p.m. PT / 11:30 p.m. ET. Fans are encouraged to speak with Ozzy by calling 1-800-344-ROCK (7625).
